An experienced, mechanical/Piping designer with a background in a range of roles primarily covering pipework and pipe support design in addition to valve, plant and other mechanical design aspects. This experience has been primarily through contracting (as a result of redundancy) gained in a range of, often highly regulated, industries e.g. Power Generation, MOD, Nuclear and Oil and Gas. Experienced in leading and managing teams of design engineers, interpreting, often vague, client requirements and developing solutions as well as managing vendor and customer relationships. Drawing upon my previous experiences and through on site production experience I have been able to train and develop others to work more efficiently reducing costs and lead times e.g. leading to recovering backlogged projects to deliver them ahead of time thus avoiding substantial penalty clauses.
